The actual hiking takes something like five hours leisure hiking between the lodgesas we plod through leafy and grassy rural landscape set against the backdrop of some ofthe Himalayas most gorgeous and towering mountains - Machhapuchare {fishtailpeak} and Annapurna. Our exciting journey wades across a number of pretty livelyvillages where we can stopover for a chit-chat with the local people who are well intothe routine chores in these parts of the mountains where agriculture is a vital survivaloption. Our trek in the Annapurna foothills takes us through some of the loveliestareas of this region.

Trekking up to Ghorepani Poonhill in the Annapurna foothills, is a lovely walk that brings us to the best vantage point for an awesome sunrise/sunset experience whichgives us a 360 degree view of a lot of famous peaks that literally stops the breath for amoment; the scenery here is a mix of different woodlands, farmed terraces and openvalleys scattered with small settlements. Hiking in this area where the elevations aregentle on the body is a walk that stirs the imaginations with the delightfulsurroundings that we hike through.

The Ghorepani Poonhill trails give us majestic sights upfront of the Annapurna range like nowhere else; andthis also brings in the fantastic Dhaulagiri range which is anadded attraction. Some great mountain views are found all along the trail and we arenever bored for a moment. Most of the inhabitants in this area belong to the Gurungcommunity whose major source of income is agriculture and tourismMagar ethnic communities are also found around here and these people warmlywelcome you for some delightful home stays.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive to Kathmandu(1300m).
  • Day 02: Service learning work in Some of the government school.
  • Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to pokhara (800m)- drive for 6 hours.
  • Day 04: Drive from Pokhara (915 m.) to Nayapul(1050m.) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1577m)- 4 Hours- Gradual Climb.
  • Day 05: Trek from Tikedhunga to Ghorepani ( 2800m)- 7 hours gradual and stairs climb.
  • Day 06: Trek from to poonhill(3210m) and trek back to Pokhara- 6-7 hours downhill trekking.
  • Day 07: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu.
  • Day 08: Kathmandu to home sweet home.

What’s Included

  • All the necessary bus transport facilities.
  • 3 star hotel in Kathmandu with BB plan. Room type: triple sharing and twin sharing.
  • Hotel accommodation in pokhara.
  • Transportation to go to school for service learning programme with local guide and guidelines will be given by local expert.
  • Available halal meal in Kathmandu at Anatolian restaurant.
  • Other vegetarian meal during the trekking as the halal meal is not available in their kitchen.
  • 2 guides and 2 assistant guides and one porter between 4 trekkers.
  • Sufficient drinking mineral water in city and safe drinking water during the( where we cannot get mineral water)
  • Sleeping bags for the trekking.
  • ACAP entry permit and TIM’s card from Nepal tourism board.
  • Lodge accommodation during the trekking.
  • First aid medical kit facilities.
  • Emergency evacuation assistance service and hospital transfer facilities. But the transportation and medical must be covered from their insurance policy.

  • Personnel shopping items and souvenir.
  • Off time drinks like coke or other types of drink.
  • Snacks items like chocolate and packet crackers.
  • Insurance for the group.
  • International airfare.

Note:

  • Two of our guide will be following the group for 24 hours.
  • Enough drinking water will be provided.
  • Halal meal will be available in Kathmandu and pokhara.
  • All the group members are required to bring their wearing trekking gear.
