Langtang lies towards the north of the Kathmandu valley and south of the Tibetan border. This valley falls within the boundaries of National parks. Wildlife includes here is migratory birds, deer, monkeys, Thar and Pika.
Langtang valley is also known as the Valley of Glaciers. It is inhabited by Tamang communities. They still follow the old culture and Buddhists customs and practices.
Langtang Valley trek starts from the Syabrubesi, just 7 hours drive from Kathmandu valley. The highest point of the trek is Tsergo Ri at an altitude of 4,984 meters above the sea level.
From the top, you’ll get a 360-degree panoramic view of mountains. Langtang Lirung, Ganja La peaks, and Langshisha are some beautiful peaks that you can see during the trek.
It is an easy trek and suitable for all age groups, ranging from young to old. This trek can be done throughout the year. But the best time is autumn and spring season.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport
Welcome to a land of the Himalayas !!!
Our representative will receive you from Tribhuvan International Airport and drop you at the respective hotel.
Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Preparation for trek and Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley
Enjoy a full day of sightseeing, including Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath temple, Boudhanath stupa and Durbar Squares of Basantapur. All these mentioned sites are enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage lists.
After exploring the city, we’ll be back to the hotel. In the evening, a small team meeting will be held. In the meeting, we’ll discuss the upcoming trek. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: The Bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Max Altitude: 1,460 meters
Travel Distance: 117 km
Travel Hours: 7-8 hours
The trekking journey begins with an 8-9 hours bus drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Syabrubesi is the initial trekking point of the Langtang valley trek. En route, we’ll enjoy the scenic views of the mountain, rice fields, rivers, and beautiful valley.
Once we reach Syabrubesi, as per your wish you can take rest or explore the village.
Overnight at Syabrubesi.
Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel
Max Altitude: 2,470 meters
Total Distance: 11.3 km / 7 miles
Trek Hours: Approximately 5-6 hours
We begin our trek from Syabrubesi to Lama hotel after breakfast. Syabrubesi is a small village, also the main entrance of Langtang National Park. During the first half of the trail, we’ll cross the Bhote Koshi river. Following the Langtang Khola the trail gradually ascent up to Bamboo and passes via the landslide area.
Then trail gradually ascent to Reimche which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola. Since the trail leads via the territory of Langtang National Park, we’ll explore some rare wildlife.
We can notice some endangered species like a Red panda, musk deer, Himalayan Thar, and black beer. We’ll have our lunch here and continue our hiking and end the trek as soon as we reach the Lama Hotel. We’ll spend our night at the tea house.
Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village
Max Altitude: 3,430 meters
Trek Hours: 4 to 5 hours
Total Distance: 14.8 km
After breakfast, we’ll continue our trek via forest trail towards Langtang village. At first, passing via Gum Chowk and Thomna we’ll reach Gore Tabela, a board glacially carved valley. This valley offers excellent views of Langtang Lirung (7,227 m).
The trail treat with the jaw-dropping views of Ganesh Himal, Naya Kanga, and Dorje Lakpa. Once again, on the trail, we’ll get a chance to explore tremendous rare wildlife.
Continuing our trek, passing via some authentic village-like Thyangyapu and Chyamki we’ll reach Langtang village. This is the largest settlement in the region. Here we get a close insight of local Sherpa and Tamang people.
We’ll spend overnight at the teahouse of Langtang village.
Day 06: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa
Max Altitude: 3,870 meters
Total Distance: 6.8 km
Trek Hours: 2-3 hours
After breakfast, we will leave the beautiful Langtang valley and move towards our last destination- Kyanjin Gompa. The trail continues via the village and comes across an impressive man wall. Crossing several small streams on wooden cantilever bridges we’ll reach Kayanjn Gompa.
From here we’ll get a dramatic view of icefall flowing from the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Kimshung. We’ll also see the monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. We’ll also visit the famous Cheese factory. We’ll get a chance to witness the cheese-making process and taste cheese made by yak milk.
We’ll get an amazing panoramic view of some glorious peaks; Langtang Lirung, Tsergo Ri, Ganja La, Langhisa Ri, Dorje Lhakpa, Yala Peak, and Naya Kang.
Overnight stay at the teahouse of Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 07: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Tsergo Ri
Max Altitude: 4,984 meters
Total Distance: 17.7 km
Trek Hours: 9-10 hours
Today early in the morning we’ll first climb to Tsergo Ri. The view from the Tsergo Ri is truly breathtaking, encompassing the whole mountain range. Some amazing mountain view includes Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Langshisha Ri, Naya Kang, and Dorje Lakpa.
After enjoying the spectacular view of mountains, we’ll be back to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight at Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 08: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
Max Altitude: 2,450 meters
Total Distance: 21.6 km
Trek Hours: 5-7 hours
Today’s trek begins with a downhill walk from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama hotel. The trail comes across Langtang Khola. En route, we’ll cross Mundu, Langtang village, Ghode Tabela, and Gumna chowk and finally reach Lama Hotel in Langtang.

Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi
Max Altitude: 1,550 meters
Total Distance: 10.9 km
Trek Hours: 4-5 hours
The trek continues from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi. Today’s walk is quite easy as the journey is mostly downhill. The trail descends down along with the dense forest.
Enjoying the beauty of nature and listening roaring sounds of Langtang river we’ll reach Syabrubesi the starting point of the trek.
Overnight stay in the tea house of Syabrubesi.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu
Today we’ll drive back to Kathmandu. Evening time is free.
Day 11: Leisure day and farewell dinner
This is an extra day set for you to explore Kathmandu. As per your wish, you can explore the Kathmandu city or do any extra activity like mountain flight of Mt. Everest.
You can also do shopping in the famous tourist hub Thamel.
In the evening, Sublime trails offer you the typical Nepalese dinner in a renowned local food restaurant.
Day 12: Departure
Finally, the trips end !!!
