Voted the best long-distance trek in the world, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is an elaborate 14-day journey in the Annapurna region adorned with deep gorges, high passes, summits, forests, and paddy fields. From the green and lush hilly region to the rugged alpine regions with spectacular mountain backdrop, the Annapurna Circuit Trek offers the most complete trekking experience in Nepal, and anywhere in the world.

The intricate views of the Annapurna massif (Annapurna I-IV), Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, Pisang Peak, and more set a thrilling highlight during the journey. You will trek through ice flows and cliffs to reach the Thorong La pass. And if nature hasn't rewarded you enough, a look into the rich lives and cultures of the local Gurung, Magar, and Thakali communities will.

You will start the trip from Kathmandu with a scenic 8-hour drive to Chamje along lush green hills. Day 3 of the trip is the first trekking day, marked by a pleasant hike through the Marshyangdi River, refreshing waterfalls, and suspension bridges to Dharapani. The subsequent days involve trekking to Chame and then to Pisang with the views getting better every day.

Afterward, the trek from Pisang to Manang Valley on the sixth day is distinctive because of the picturesque views of Manang Valley and Tilicho Peak (7145 m). The meditative Manang Valley has a lot to offer, and you'll get enough places to hang around, have fun, and soak up the local culture on your rest day on Day 7.

You will then set off for Yak Kharka the next day with desirous views of Gangapurna, Glacier Dom, Tilicho Peak, Chulu West, Manaslu range, and the entire Annapurna range. The next day, you will trek to the pilgrimage site of Muktinath via the Thorung La Pass (5416 m), both highlights in their own right.

After exploring the Muktinath temple, 108 water sprouts, and the surroundings, you will set off on an epic drive to Jomsom. Also known as Dzongsam, Jomsom is a quaint little mountainous town with amazing scenery, cozy shops, and colorful houses. Finally, you will fly back to the beautiful city of Pokhara for adventures of your choice before leaving for Kathmandu.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek offers a truly immersive experience and is alluring to beginners and experienced trekkers alike. It is a moderate to fairly challenging trek and does require preparation beforehand. Nonetheless, with the right mindset, training, acclimatization, and support from our guides, anyone over 12 can complete the trek.

    FAQs

    • The trekking region falls in remote areas in Nepal hence is difficult. The trail gets difficult sometimes and you have to cross some landslide area as well which might be a bit risky. Another risk is altitude sickness in the high altitude region. Our team will put their best effort to keep you safe from all kinds of risks. There are going to be such risks as it is an adventure but your safety will be our first priority.

    • Our guides and other team members are well experienced and trained to handle minor problems. In case of emergency conditions, helicopter evacuations are available. Make sure your insurance covers all the expenses for such evacuations.

    • You have to inform a few days ahead for that. If our team is not in a tight schedule, you can also trek to Tlicho lake. However, the price of the package will be changed accordingly.

    • It is not safe to drink water from tap water and streams. The mineral water might not be available on the way. So, bringing the water purification pills with you is the best option for you.

Doubt of finishing Annapurna Circuit but completed without any issues

First and foremost, I want to thank Mr. Shiva, my trek guide who was with me on my worst and best times in this trek. He was my source of motivation for this trek. Also, my fellow trekkers were kind enough.

Mr. Ram was a very responsive person. He did reply to my every queries. The well maintained logistics, porters, guides from Sublime Trails were fantastic.
