About Fastest Trek to Everest Base Camp

Everest Base Camp 14 Days Trek is the quickest way one can trek up to the foothill of Everest. This trek leads you through the beautiful Khumbu region all the way to the base of the highest mountain in the world. Having dozens of the high snow-capped mountains (many above 7000 meters), beautiful glaciers, icefalls, lakes, moraine valleys, forests and rivers, the Khumbu region is a paradise for adventurous trekking. The Everest region provides you with the most amazing up-close view of the highest mountain in the world and many other peaks such as Amadablam, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Nuptse, and more. The sunrise view from Kalapatthar is one of the most beautiful experiences of the Everest Base Camp journey.

Everest Base Camp 14 Days Trek package allows you to become educated on the Sherpa People, who reside in the Khumbu region. Staying in tea houses is an amazing experience one can have - living a minimalist life while learning about Sherpa traditions and lifestyle. Many of the famous Buddhist monasteries, Kanis, and Gompas lie along the way. Tengboche Monastery is the biggest monastery in the Everest Region and is also a viewpoint to get picturesque views of the Himalayas.

Lhotse and Nuptse can be seen standing in front of Everest Base Camp, while Everest seems like peeking behind these two giants. This trek to Everest Base Camp has included a hike to Kalapatthar, the best viewpoint to get a closeup view of Everest. Mountains look majestic during sunrises and sunsets, so an early morning hike to Kalapatthar for the sunrise is one of the major attractions of this trek. Completing this trek by tackling the difficulty of bearing the chilling temperatures and low levels of oxygen for 14 days is worth everything as it can be one of the best experiences one can have in life.

Weather and Best Time to Trek

The weather conditions of the Khumbu region depend on the four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter. As the trail lies in the high altitude region, it remains cold during most of the year. However, it gets unbearably cold in winter as the temperature gets below the freezing point. Spring and autumn showcase perfect weather for trekking. Spring starts as the winter ends and the days start to get warmer. Similarly, autumn comes after the rainy days of summer and before the start of winter. Weather remains calm and consistent in these seasons. The views look spectacular as the weather is clear most of the time and it gets enhanced with the rhododendron blooms in spring and colourful forests in autumn.

Winter and Summer are considered to be less appropriate. It becomes difficult to trek to a higher region due to snowfall and fierce wind. Similarly, rainfall makes it difficult to trek in winter.

Food and Accommodation

When you are in Kathmandu, you will stay in a 3-star hotel, which provides you with breakfast. Other meals in the city are not included in the package because we let you explore a variety of dishes available in Kathmandu.

During your Khumbu region trekking journey, you will stay in tea houses run by local Sherpas. As the Everest region lacks road access, the tea houses may lack the luxurious treat. However, they will provide you with minimalistic services and healthy available food items. WiFi is typically available on demand. Heaters are available in the dining halls of teahouses. Foods such as fried rice, pasta, noodles, soup, Dal Bhat, eggs, potatoes, vegetables, etc. Along the way, you might encounter Yak cheese factories as well.

 The Sherpas Tradition and Culture

Sherpas are the gems of the Himalayas. Ever since the starting of your journey from Lukla, you will pass through many Sherpa villages during your Everest Base Camp trekking journey. They are known for their bravery, loyalty, and mountaineering skills. Their culture is heavily influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. Their tradition is rich in many cultural festivals and rituals. You will get plenty of opportunities to explore their lifestyle during your Everest Base Camp Trekking staying at tea houses owned by Sherpas. Our guides and Sherpa assistants will help you dive more into their stories. During your stay in teahouses, you will also get to know more about their unique lifestyle.

 Landscapes

During our Everest Base Camp 14 Days Trek, you will get a plethora of glorious views of snow-capped mountains and landscapes covered in greenery. Your trai starts from Lukla. Then, walk along the Dudhkoshi River valley. The mountains such as Everest, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, and more can be seen in the backdrop. They get closer and look more amazing the more you walk towards them. The mesmerizing view of sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas are awe-inspiring. You will be rewarded with the most amazing picturesque views of landscapes at every step.

We’ve just completed our Everest base camp trek with sublime trails. Ram and the crew can go extra miles to ensure that we are safe and make us feel that we are at good hand. There was no point of worry since the time we met ram at the airport in Kathmandu.Ram gave us very experience trekking guide ‘shiva’ and porter Pemba. they both are very friendly and making sure we enjoyed all the time . After the trek ram took us to farewell dinner and it was our pleasure to try Nepalese DHIDO and local wine. Overall a very experienced and friendly team. Can’t wait to go back again for another sublime experience . Highly recommended !!!

I'm in love with Nepalese food. I hope I can make it on my own once I return back.

  • Best Everest Base Camp Trek

    - Karie Annie, Canada

Everything was well organized and taken care of with Sublime Trails so we could just relax & enjoy our trek. From the moment we arrived at the Kathmandu airport our guide Rishi was waiting with a sign with our names on it. He shook our hands and greeted us with "Welcome to Nepal" Rishi and a driver took us to our lovely hotel in Kathmandu where we met with Ram, the owner of Sublime Trails, and paid for our Trek. Ram made arrangements for a city tour of Kathmandu for the following day which was great to learn about Nepal's culture. That night Ram met with us again to take care of any last minute preparations for our trek - hiring down jackets and sleeping bags, etc. Our trek to Everest Base Camp was incredible because of our awesome guide Rishi - he has an amazing sense of humour and loved playing cards and showing us his magic tricks. Our porter Kumar was full of energy and always smiling. Talking with other Trekkers on the trail we could easily tell we made the best decision to book with Sublime Trails. We loved that we had our own private tour, we weren't packed into a big group like other Trekkers and we planned our trek date completely around our travel plans, no set schedule. Ram and his team take care of everything beginning to end. When we returned to Kathmandu, Ram took us out for a farewell dinner to celebrate our accomplishment and provide feedback on our trekking experience. It's obvious Ram goes above and beyond to genuinely care for his customers.
We highly recommend Sublime Trails for trekking in Nepal!!!
Thank you so much to Ram for all the arrangements and to Rishi & Kumar for a fantastic trek!
