The route goes from sub-tropical forests to alpine forests and then to barren and rocky deserts. During this trek, you will twice reach and cross the 5000 meters mark.

Once while getting to the Tilicho lake which is situated at the highest altitude. The other time would be while crossing the legendary Thorong-La- Pass which is at an altitude of 5416 meters.

This trek starts at Dharapani and ends when you reach Jomsom. As Tilicho lake does not fall under the Annapurna Circuit, we need to take a detour. This trek is certainly a challenging one as it falls under the difficulty level of strenuous. We will also witness the sight of mountains such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Himchuli, Dhaulagiri, Neelgiri and many others.

Other than the two highlights - Tilicho Lake and Thorong La Pass, this trek has a lot more to offer. The scenic walk from Dukurpokhari to Pisang and then to Manang will certainly blow your mind. After Manang, the journey will take you to higher altitudes and the highest when you reach Thorong La Pass. We then drop down to Muktinath and then to Jomsom which will be the last stop for our trek. The town of Muktinath is a great importance for the people of both the religions, Hinduism and Buddhism. Jomsom is a popular city which has an airport which connects this town to Pokhara.

Our representatives will be at the airport to pick you up and take you to your hotel. You will need to rest after a long and tiring flight. Later in the evening, you can enjoy the lively tourist hub of Kathmandu which is known as Thamel. Enjoy the food and you will be staying at a 3-Star hotel in Kathmandu.
On this day we will prepare for our trek. We will talk to our guide and make sure we have everything we need for the trek. Also, you make do your last minute shopping too.

Later, we head to several UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu. Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We will spend our night in Kathmandu.
We will take a bus from Kathmandu and head to Besisahar via the Kathmandu Pokhara highway. On our bus ride, we will get to see the life of Nepali people outside the Kathmandu valley.

We will come across several terrace-farmed fields and go parallel with the Trushuli river. We will first reach Besisahar and from here, we will head to Chame where we will rest for the night and prepare for the following day as we will start our trek.
On this day we will start our journey on foot. We will start early in the morning from Chamje with the aim of reach Dharapani. We will pass through pathways that are rocky and come across quite a few settlements along our way.

This trails also offers a spectacular view of waterfalls. We will cross settlements of Satale, Tal and Karte before reaching Dharapani where we will rest for the night.
The trek gets more interesting and beautiful as the altitude increases. After Dharapani, we will continue our journey to Chame. This route consists of pine forests and we will first come across Danaque.

The trail is rocky and is of the intermediate level. After walking for about 5-6 hours, we will finally reach Chame which is a small bustling settlement. The trail passes until Chame offers the spectacular sight of gorges and waterfalls.
On the sixth day of the trek, we head to Pisang. We will be able to catch the view of Lamjung Himal which stands at 6893 meters. The trail takes us through fir and pine tree forests and cliffs that are insurmountable. After a rigorous climb, we will reach the valley of Dhartang.

Dhartang has one of the biggest apple orchards in Nepal. After resting for a while, we will head to Pisang. After an hour of walking from Dhartang, we will reach Dhukurpokhari and the landscape exceedingly beautiful.

We will now walk through flat trails with occasional ascends and we will be surrounded with vegetation throughout. It is from here, you will get the actual feel of the trek. After about 5-6 hours of walking, we will reach Pisang where we will rest for the night.
The trek starts to get more challenging as we cross the 3000 meters altitude mark. We will be blessed with the view of Tilicho Peak and also of Manang valley. The route turns into a spectacular showcase of the landscape. We will come across Humde which has the only airstrip in this region. From here, we will have an unobstructed view of Annapurna III.

As we head on from Sabje Khola Valley, we will also witness the Annapurna IV. We will then cross the Marshyangdi river with the help of a wooden bridge and enter the small village of Mungji. We will then carry on and reach the town of Manang.
We will take the first break of our trek. As we reach a considerable altitude after days of walking, we need to rest properly for the remainder of the trek. We will rest in Manang which will also help us to acclimatize with the increasing altitude.

On this day, we can explore the town of Manang and other villages around Manang. We can also take a trip to Ice lake or rest in Manang and prepare for the remainder of the journey.
On this day, we will cross the 4000 meters mark as we head to Sri Kharka. This challenging trail takes us through winding paths through the hills. Vegetation slowly starts to decrease as we head and turn into arid. We will also come across rocky paths. We will cross a suspension bridge and will be greeted with the view of Gungang and Chulu mountain. We will spend the night in Sri Kharkha.
On the tenth day, we will head to Tilicho base camp. The route to Tilicho base camp is quite challenging as well as enthralling at the least. This pathway takes us through winding narrow paths through hills. We will cross the landslide area and finally reach the base camp where we will rest. We need to go to bed early as we need to leave early for Tilicho Lake.
This day will certainly be an interesting one as we will head to Tilicho lake which is situated at the highest altitude of almost 500 meters. We will start early in the morning. Now, the pathways will have very little vegetation.

Through winding paths, we will continue ascending through the hills. We will then reach a point from where we will walk through a flat path until we reach Tilicho lake. Tilicho lake has clear blue waters and is right below the Tilicho peak. The scintillating landscape is a treat to the human eyes.

Enjoy a cup of tea and admire the beauty. After this, we will head back to Tilicho base camp and make our way back to Sri Kharka where we will take a well-deserved rest.
We will now join the Annapurna Circuit route after our small detour which took us to Tilicho Lake.we will drop to Khangsar village and cross the Tare Gumba. After trekking through the valley, we will hike up and reach Yak Kharka. We will spend the night here.
The trail will take us through the leeward side of the hill. We will a river with the help of a wooden bridge and make our way through narrow pathways. We will follow a single trail and come across pasture lands where we will see many yaks.

After about 4 hours of walking, we will finally reach Thorong Phedi which is perched at the foot of a hill. We go to rest early as we have to leave early the following morning as we will be crossing the Thorong La Pass.
This will be the most important day of the trek, we will be crossing the legendary Thorong La Pass and make way to Muktinath. We will start early in the morning and make way to the pass.

We will first have to ascend a tiring winding path. This ascend is quite challenging as you are highly advised to take it slow. We will then reach a small settlement where we can rest before we continue.

The sheer rise in the altitude, the vast blue sky and the magnificent view of the landscape makes this challenging trail a lively one. We will finally reach the Thorong La Pass, get your cameras out as this place is something of a wonderland.

We will rest a while and enjoy a hot cup of tea and snacks before we make our descend to Muktinath. We will now walk continuously for about 4 hours till we make it to Muktinath.

You will feel the difference in altitude as you go from 4420 meters to 5416 meters and then drop to 3850 meters. We will rest for the night in Muktinath.
The trek becomes relatively easy now. As the altitude decreases so will the difficulty level. We will pass through the Kali Gandaki gorge. The trail is arid as we pass through Jharkot and Khingar. This will be the last day of walking. We will reach the beautiful town of Jomsom after about 5 hours of walking.
We will take a flight early in the morning to Pokhara. In Pokhara, we will spend time in the bustling part of the city called Lake Side. explore this beautiful city and go for boating in the famous Phewa Lake. later in the evening, you can enjoy local Nepali cuisine and music at the Lakeside. We will spend the night in Pokhara.
We head back to Kathmandu on this day. The bus ride will start at 7:30 in the morning and will take about 6-7 hours. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Nepali countryside. We spend the night in Kathmandu and go around Thamel which is tourist hub in Kathmandu and enjoy the night. You can also do souvenir shopping in Thamel.
