Instead of directly starting the hike, with this 14-day itinerary, you'll hike to places like Hile, Ghorepani, Poon Hill, and Tadapani, before joining the base camp route in Chhomrong.
After flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara, first, you'll take a drive to Nayapul and start hiking to Hile. Hile is the vantage point of Annapurna Sanctuary with preserved cultures and ethnicity. Here, the traditional houses, stone paved trails, and ethnic attires are the focal attraction.
From Hile, you'll hike to Ghorepani, Poon Hill, and Tadapani, the ultimate viewpoints of the Annapurna region best known for the alluring sunrise and sunset. Trekkers even plan the hike to Ghorepani and Poon Hill only to enjoy the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset colors over the mountains of the Annapurna region, especially the Machhapuchhre.
You'll join the main Annapurna Base Camp Trek route at Chhomrong from Tadapani on the fifth day of the hike. From here, you'll hike for three days to reach the base camp.
From Chhomrong, you'll hike to Dovan at 2,600 meters and stay overnight at the tea house in Dovan. From Dovan, you'll hike to Deurali for six hours to Deurali at 3,230 meters and stay overnight here. On the next day, after hiking for four hours, you'll reach Annapurna Base Camp.

With the Annapurna base camp 10 days itinerary, after leaving Kathmandu, you'll stay for one night in Pokhara. This itinerary gives you a day for sightseeing around the beautiful city of Pokhara, often termed the City of Lakes.
The next day, you'll take a drive from Pokhara to Kyumi and trek to Chhomrong. You'll stay overnight at Chhomrong. The next day on hike takes you to the Himalayas where you'll stop for overnight accommodation.
The trek from Himalaya to Deurali, Machhapuchhre Base Camp, and Annapurna Base Camp, becomes a long day hike of nearly 8 hours. But with adequate rest and healthy meals at the tea house at the base camp, you'll be reenergized in no time.

7 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary
The 7 days Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts from Pokhara and ends at Pokhara.
On the first day, you'll take a drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Jhinu Danda. You'll stay overnight at Jhinu and prepare for the next day's hike. With early morning breakfast at Jhinu, you'll hike to Chhomrong, Lower Sinuwa, and Upper Sinuwa where you'll stop overnight.
After leaving Sinuwa, till Bamboo, you'll get the best glimpses of Mt. Machhapuchhre. Also, the bamboo forests with small streams offer serenity while hiking. The multicolored roofed tea houses and stone-paved trails till Dovan inspire you to the fullest. You'll hike to Deurali for six hours from Sinuwa and stop for overnight accommodation.
After leaving Deurali on the next morning, the trail ascends through the shore of the river streaming from the glaciers of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. You'll first reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp within one and a half hours from Deurali.
Another two- and half-hour hike from MBC takes you to Annapurna Base Camp where you'll stay overnight. The tea houses at the base camp offer modern amenities with WIFI and hot showers which you can benefit from.
