Here in this blog, we'll give you legitimate information about Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit and Tsum Valley Trek Permit, their cost throughout the year, where you can get them, and the permit's validity.

Essential Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek Permit

You'll need two Manaslu Circuit Trek permits and one Annapurna Conservation Area Permit for Tsum Valley Trek.

Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (MRAP)

Since most parts of the Manaslu Circuit Trek Route lie in Manaslu Restricted Area, you must purchase Manaslu Restricted Area Permit. It would help if you kept this permit available while trekking from Jagat to Samagaun.

This permit is valid for seven days, and from the 8th day, you must pay an additional $10 if you fail to cross the trail from Jagat to Samagaun within a week. Your MRAP Permit gets checked at Trekkers Check-post at Sama Gaun.

This Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit cost is different for different trekking seasons.

The cost of MRAP in Autumn, from September to November, is higher than in other months. MRAP permit costs USD 100 in Autumn, and for the rest, from December to August, it costs USD 70.

Once this permit expires and you fail to cross Samagaun from Jagat in a week, you must pay USD 15 in Autumn and USD 10 for each extra day in the rest of the months.

Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP)

Manaslu Conservation Area Permit in standard Manaslu Circuit Trek 14 days is another essential permit you must obtain. Unlike MRAP, MCAP permits are valid for any number of days inside the Manaslu region.

This permit is less expensive and costs around USD 30 at any time in a year. You must show this permit at the trekkers check-post at Philim, Sirdibas, at 1,597 meters.

Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit (ACAP)

Extending Manaslu Circuit Trek to Tsum Valley or doing Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek requires Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit. You'll leave Manaslu Circuit Trek at Dharapani and begin Tsum Valley Trek from Besisahar, which comes under Annapurna Conservation Area. Tsum Valley Trek Permit is Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit (ACAP), as the valley sits in the Annapurna region.

Like MCAP, ACAP also costs USD 30 annually and is valid for any number of days you want to hike in the Annapurna Conservation Area.

No need of a TIMS Card

The TIMS Card, Trekkers Information Management System Card, is no longer a compulsory Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek Permit.

With conservation area and restricted area permits, trekkers can hike to Annapurna and Manaslu region, except Annapurna Circuit Trek.
