The Everest Base camp is one of the finest trekking routes in the world according to most seasoned trekkers. This trek offers scenic routes and a portrayal of amazing variation of cultures which will be a treat for you. It is filled with dazzling hills, scintillating view of the mountains and amazing people who will win your heart. You will be walking through the trail that was taken by the legendary climbers Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary who climbed the Everest for the first time in 1953.
The Everest Base Camp Trek 16 Days is a demanding trek and can be quite challenging. It consists of 11 days of walking along rugged tracks, high altitudes, and inclines that will give you the ultimate adventure and thrill of being in a region that has so much natural and cultural beauty. It will all climax into an overwhelming experience when you reach the base camp of the highest mountain in the world - Mount Everest.
Our journey will start after we take a 45-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight will take parallel to the spectacular mountain ranges of this country and make us aware of the beauty that is in store for us. After we get to Lukla, we will then start our journey on foot.
The beautiful town of Namche Bazaar will captivate you with its vibrancy and rich culture. We will then experience the hospitality of the world’s highest hotel and return to Namche Bazaar.
For the next two days, you will pass Tyangboche and Dingboche where we will be resting each night. We also have the option t hike up to Nagartsang and come back to Dingboche.
From Dingboche, we will head to Lobuche where we will be able to witness the wonderful the wonderful Khumbu Icefall. We will walk through some tricky paths and will finally reach the Everest Base Camp and then to Gorak Shep.
After a laborious walk, we will then get to Kala Patthar and this point will be the highest altitude of our trek as Kala Patthar is situated at a majestic altitude of 5545 meters. Then we will have a gentle descent till we get to Pheriche where we will prepare for the rest of our journey and rest for the night.
our descent will continue until we reach the vibrant town of Namche and our final day of walking will lead you to Lukla where we will spend the night. On the following day, we will fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.
This beautiful trekking route will take us through alpine forests and through villages in which the Sherpas live and we will have the chance to experience their wondrous hospitality.
This trek will take us along the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers and can also visit the school in Khumjung which was set up by Sir Edmund Hillary.
Tengboche monastery is another highlight of the trek. Unfortunately, the 2015 earthquake has severely damaged this monastery. Still, it won't be a problem for us as this place offers spectacular views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku will blow your mind.
The famous Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar is an interesting place. The colorful houses which are placed on the hillside and the local shops and restaurants which will give you a unique vibe.
After the Everest Base Camp, as mentioned earlier we will go to Kala Patthar. This place offers an uncompromising view of the mighty Everest.
The Everest Base Camp is no doubt one of the best trekking routes in the world. It is going to be quite challenging but an adventurous one nonetheless. The panoramic views of the mountains and the extraordinary culture of the region will take you closest to the concept of paradise.
