This package offers a tour in three of the major cities in Nepal, Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. All these cities are connected by nice roadways and offer flight options. What to Expect:

1. Food and Accommodation

During this tour, a 3-star hotel is provided and during your days in Chitwan, you will stay at a jungle lodge. These restaurants provide you with breakfast in the morning. Our destinations are cities and offer a myriad of restaurants serving various food. We want you to enjoy this tour as much as possible and don't want to make it strict and boring. So, for lunch and dinner, you can try any food in any restaurant you like. We can make recommendations based on your choices. 

2. Religious and Historical Sites

Kathmandu sightseeing takes you to various historical places like Basantapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square while religious sites can be found every once in a while during this tour. Some important religious sites are Swayambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath Stupa for both Buddhists and  Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu and Tal Barahi Temple Bindabasini temple and Gupteshwor Mahadev in Pokhara holds major significance for Hindus. Tal Barahi lies at the eastern side of Phewa lake. Gupteshwor Mahadev lies inside the Mahendra Cave. It is believed that only ones with a pure heart can come out of the narrow entrance of Bat Cave.

3. Landscape and Wildlife

Kathmandu is surrounded by hills and mountains and greeneries can be seen every now and there. Bus rides take you through beautiful villages, rivers and you can get some views of the mountains as well. In Pokhara, Sarangkot is a viewpoint to watch mountains in Annapurna Region and other mountains. Sunrise and sunset look amazing from there. During Pokhara, various lakes and green forests dominate the landscapes. Chitwan National park is full of green lush forests and range of animals live there. It is also famous for birdwatching. 

4. People and Their Culture

In Kathmandu, you can find different types of people migrating from various parts of Nepal bringing with them their own culture. Newars are indigenous people of this place and they have a rich culture and tradition. Pokhara has recently become somewhat like Kathmandu due to increasing developments and job prospects. Some major ethnic people living in Pokhara are Brahmin, Gurung, Chhetri, Magar, Newar. In Chitwan, Tharu people live with their distinct culture with other ethnicities like Brahmin, Chhetri, Tharu, Newar, Darai, Gurung, Magars, Tamang, Chepang.

DAY 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
  • Picking up at the airport 
  • Transferring you to the hotel
  • Roam around the streets of Thamel

After arriving in Nepal, you will land at Tribhuvan International Airport. During the flight on a clear day, you may catch glimpses of the Himalayas. Our representative will already be there with your name on Sublime Trails board. After that, you will ride a private vehicle to reach a 3-star hotel where you will stay tonight. After resting for a while, you can go out to explore the streets and buy things you like. A short tour briefing will be given in the evening.

DAY 02: Sightseeing Around Kathmandu Valley 
  • Explore the Kathmandu City
  • Visit 5 of the UNESCO world heritage sites ( Basantapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple)

A full day Kathmandu tour is a chance to explore amazing historical and religious places in Kathmandu. Most of these places fall under the UNESCO world heritage sites and you will visit them starting from Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple and so on with our well-experienced guide. This is an amazing chance to learn about the tradition, culture, and history of Nepal. After visiting these ancient palaces, temples, monuments, and stupas, you will return to your hotel and rest.

DAY 03: Drive From Kathmandu to Pokhara
  • A scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara alongside the Trishuli river
  • Enjoy the view of Ganesh Himal and the Manaslu peak along the way
  • Stroll around the local market and try new restaurants and bars

After waking up in Kathmandu, you will have your breakfast and head towards Pokhara. Riding along the Trishuli and Marshyangdi river, some beautiful hills will come into view along with Ganesh Himal and the Manaslu peak. After about 6 hours, you will reach Pokhara. If you aren’t tired and have some time left, you can stroll around the streets of Pokhara after checking into a hotel. In the evening, you can try new food, chill in the bars and enjoy yourselves.

DAY 04: Full Day Sightseeing in Pokhara
  • View of sunrise from Sarangkot over the Himalayas
  • Enjoy the view of an Annapurna range, other mountains and Pokhara valley from Sarangkot
  • Go to popular places in Pokhara like Devi’s fall, Bat Cave, International Mountain Museum, World Peace Stupa, etc.
  • Go for paragliding in Sarangkot (optional)

Leaving the hotel early in the morning, you will head towards Sarangkot to catch the view of sunrise. Sarangkot is a viewpoint to get outstanding views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and other mountains. You will then return to your hotel for breakfast and move towards Devi’s Fall. 

This water comes down from the Annapurna Range and looks spectacular. You will now go to visit caves like Bat cave and Mahendra cave. After getting to International Mountain Museum, you will now hike up to World Peace Stupa from where outstanding views of Pokhara valley and its lakes with snow-peaked mountains in the background.

DAY 05: Pokhara to Chitwan
  • Scenic ride from Pokhara to Chitwan
  • Get to Tharu village to explore the culture and tradition of Tharu people
  • Stay at a jungle lodge arranged for you by Sublime Trails

Chitwan National Park lies in Chitwan and is home to various species of flora and fauna. After leaving Pokhara, you will head towards Chitwan by bus taking 5-6 hours and check into a jungle lodge. In the evening, you will go to the Tharu village and learn about their traditions and way of life.

DAY 06: Jungle Safari and Wildlife Exploration in Chitwan
  • Tour around the Chitwan National Park 
  • Enjoy the jungle safari with elephant ride
  • Watch the elephants bath and visit elephant breeding centre
  • Chance to see various animals like one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, gharials, etc
  • Enjoy the cultural stick dance of Tharu community in the evening 

Today, you will spend the whole day doing fun activities in Chitwan National park. Getting on the back of an elephant, you will go for a jungle safari. Then, you will go to watch elephants bath using their water-filled trunk. Getting to the elephant breeding centre, you will get the chance to witness the love between baby and mother elephant. Inside the park, you have a chance to watch animals like one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, gharials, etc. After this long day, you will go to watch Tharu performers on a cultural stick dance show and return to your jungle lodge.

DAY 07:  Chitwan to Kathmandu
  • Go for birdwatching in the morning
  • Take a bus ride to return to Kathmandu
  • Enjoy the live music in various restaurants and enjoy yourself

After breakfast, you can go for birdwatching. Chitwan National Park has numerous species of birds chirping lovely songs. Returning from this tour, you will head towards Kathmandu. A bus takes you Kathmandu from Chitwan after 6-7 hours. You will ride through villages, rivers, and scenic views. Upon arrival, you can either rest or go out to enjoy the vibrant streets of Thamel trying new food, going to live music, dancing, etc.

DAY 8: Departure
  • Transferring you to Tribhuvan International Airport and bidding you farewell

I had visited many places in Nepal with Sublime Trails. It was a very beautiful tour. We visited UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu such as Pasupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swyambunath and Durbar Squares. I got to learn a lot about the history and culture of Nepal. We then visited Pokhara city where I enjoyed boating, I went to the temples and caves. Chitwan National Park was also amazing. I enjoyed the elephant Safari and canoeing. I also got to see the one-horned rhino. Sublime Trails managed my trip very beautifully I am thankful to them.
